Summer food

Munching on raw almonds in a taxi on my way to work.

Here's what I made for dinner last night.

It is unbelievably hot these days so I thought of preparing cold soba for myself... and Fried Chicken for my meat loving housemates (which has nothing to do with the hot weather). I also made Agedashi Tofu that I didn't mind eating cold. I love to put lots of grated daikon on it.

The soba I put on a sushi mat because I don't have a zaru.

This is a blurry picture. My soba tsuyu or dipping sauce has chopped green onions and grated ginger. Just dip the soba quickly or the sauce will overpower its taste.

Cold green tea. I realized we don't have sugar at home. Organic Grade B Maple Syrup taste really good with anything especially with pancakes. But really really expensive. Every drop is gold.
